According to her mother, Diane Burke, “Kandi comes alive when she is at summer camp.” “Outside Alive” is a high quality, well organized program for special needs children that focuses on fitness, nature, and social interaction – it’s all about the kids. For 23 year old Kandi, who is living with cerebral palsy, this program was a Godsend. “When you watch these children having the experiences of a lifetime and see the joy in their eyes, you know they are enjoying experiences OUTSIDE and their spirits are ALIVE!” explains Kandi’s mother.
2700 hours of outdoor fun and adventure were enjoyed by this year’s campers at the River’s Way “Outside Alive” Summer Day Camp for special needs children at Sugar Hollow Park
