United Way of Bristol announced today that it has achieved nearly 59 percent of this year’s $1.1 million campaign goal.
“We are so very appreciative to everyone who has already made a donation to our campaign,” said Campaign Chair, Carolyn Ferrell. “We still have quite a way to go in order to exceed our goal, and we can’t do it without the help from our community. The local agencies we support help thousands of people and families in our community each year have the resources they need to live healthy, productive lives. So many people in our community are depending on us to be able to continue to mobilize local resources to provide the vital services they need.”
“Gifts to United Way of Bristol do so much for so many and are an investment in our community’s future,” Ferrell continued. “And we are blessed to have such a tremendous, giving community that recognizes how important United Way of Bristol is to the well-being of those in need and also understands that United Way makes the best use of every single dollar entrusted to it.”
United Way of Bristol provides financial support to more than 25 local agencies representing 40 programs and initiatives that are critical to meeting the many needs of the Bristol community. This year’s campaign is scheduled to run through the end of November.
