BRISTOL, TN/VA – United Way of Bristol TN/VA and Food City were proud to partner once again for the Celebrity Bagging Event on Tuesday, November 26th from 10am to 6pm at five local Food City stores.

  • Bonham Road, Bristol, VA
  • Euclid Avenue, Bristol, VA
  • Hwy 394, Blountville, TN
  • Virginia Ave., Bristol, TN

Our volunteer celebrity baggers from throughout the community bag groceries at these Food City locations and collect tips to benefit United Way of Bristol. Shoppers can make a contribution at checkout via collection containers or choose to add their donation to their grocery total.

“We are very excited to once again work with Food City on our Celebrity Bagging Event. Our goal is to inspire and encourage the community to get involved with our fundraising efforts that will go to improving community health, education, and economic well-being.”

Lisa Cofer, Executive Director of United Way of Bristol

This annual event is always held the Tuesday before Thanksgiving to support our fundraising campaign and create awareness about United Way of Bristol and our efforts to mobilize the caring power of our region. The money raised stays local and goes to strategic initiatives and community partnerships that pull together resources that help the residents of our community enhance their lives.
